Overview
In the post-COVID era, people are adapting to hybrid work and forming new habits. However, we face challenges with time management, self-discipline, and reduced social interaction. This schedule planner app focuses on three key design features—habit tracking, calendar, and shared challenges—to enhance personal productivity in a social setting.
Design Goal
Tickplanner is designed to help people manage their daily schedules and motivate them to achieve goals with friends. Through the app, users can easily track progress toward any goal, whether on a daily basis or from a long-term perspective. Task completion is designed to be fun, easy, and interactive within the community. The design prioritizes a personalized interface, ease of use, and social connectivity.

Research-New Demands in Post COVID Life
To understand people's needs for a productivity app and their pain points in pursuing daily goals, I interviewed 25 people who fell into two categories: 16 people without a habit of tracking daily goals, and 9 people who use calendars and other planning tools. In the first group, 11 participants expressed a need for a productivity planner to track their daily goals. The second group had already adopted habit-tracking tools and planned to continue using them. However, these participants noted that their habit-tracking tools were scattered across different platforms, making it difficult to get a clear overview of their task completion status.
Persona1
Occupation: Student

Goals & Needs: Remote group learning with classmates and check learning process with each other.

Painpoints: Most productivity apps don't show my study partners' progress, yet seeing peers work toward the same goal is highly motivating.
Persona2
Occupation: Business manager

Goals & Needs: I need a casual planner for after work activities, such as walking his dogs and working out.

Painpoints: The calendars I've used lack clear to-do and completion status indicators. I often miss tasks once they're past due since there are no follow-up reminders.
Persona3
Occupation: Graphic designer

Goals & Needs: I need motivation from other people. I like showing my plan to other people and it makes me more motivated to accomplish my goal.

Painpoints: Like many of my friends, I struggle with procrastination. A sleek interface would make task completion more enjoyable.
Competitor Analysis
This competitor analysis examines three prominent habit-tracking apps: Streaks, Habitshare, Timepage, and Productive. Through evaluating their features, user experience, and information structure, we aim to identify their competitive advantages and potential areas for improvement.
